For our weekly staff meetings the last week before spring break we were lucky enough to have Hailee, TJ, and a few other students from the school educate the teachers about the murals on the campus. Thank you, Aunty Loke, for bringing the haumana down and having them teach us the value of Umi and aloha in our Paauilo community!
This week is Dr. Suess week this we are celebrating reading in the classroom. We have been reading Dr. Seuss books throughout the week. Ask your student what their favorite Dr. Seuss book is!
Today the 3rd graders presented their now annual Black History Month slideshows to the 2nd graders. We had the opportunity to study different people who changed the way others thought about African Americans and those who worked towards equality!
This week we started the Kids Heart Challenge here at Paauilo. To jumpstart this, students went outside to jump rope and hula hoop to get the heart pumping! Your student should have the packet with materials below is the ParentSquare message shared by our school counselor Mrs. Tsubamoto.
Zoe and Trinity had the opportunity this week to lead the school in the Pledge of Allegiance and our Halau Hamakua chant. Great job girls!
