Aloha Tiger ‘Ohana,
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the TA Principal of Pa‘auilo Elementary and Intermediate School. I have had the privilege of teaching at Waimea Elementary School and Waikoloa Elementary and Intermediate, where I also served as a Vice Principal. These experiences have provided me with the valuable insights into the unique needs of Hawaii's students and have honed my skills as an instructional leader.
I believe in the importance of open and honest communication. As an educational leader, creating a transparent and approachable environment is crucial to fostering a strong and collaborative school community. With this mind, my door will always be open to students and collaborative school community. With this in mind, my door will always be open to students, staff, and parents, ensuring that everyone's voices are heard and valued.
One of my top priorities for this year is to focus on Social Emotional Learning (SEL) at Pa‘auilo School Community. I am excited to share that we will be implementing a new curriculum called Positive Action, which integrates both academic growth and the development of vital social and emotional skills. Through this program, we will provide our students with the necessary tools to navigate challenges, build resilience, and succeed both academically and personally.
Furthermore, being born and raised on the Big Island Pa‘auilo has a special place in my heart. The community and its values resonate deeply with me, and I believe that this familiarity will enable me to connect with students, families, and staff on a profound level. I am committed to fostering relationships that inspire trust, collaboration, and a shared commitment to the success of every student. I look forward to working with Pa‘auilo School Community this year.
Sincerely,
Maegan MacGregor
TA Principal
