Welcome to Mrs. Elaine Jose's world, also known as, Grade 1 Class.

It has been my pleasure to have taught at Paauilo School since 1993, where I was a first grade teacher. I then moved to fifth grade then up to intermediate, where I stayed for the next 11 years.

I returned to elementary in 2007 , in the 5th grade position where I taught for 2 years.

In 2009, I taught kindergarten, and remained in lower elementary since then. 

It has also been my pleasure to be the teacher of my former students children, so I feel really connected to the  Paauilo School Community.

 

I moved to the Big Island in 1986 from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 

In 1989, I attended University of Hawaii in Hilo, and graduated in 1993, with a BA in Liberal Studies and a Certificate in Elementary Education.

 In 1995, I married a Honokaa Boy, Richard Jose, and we have  two daughters, Victoria and Iliana. Both girls are proud alumnae of Paauilo School.
