Principal's Message

Dear Paʻauilo Elementary & Intermediate Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! I hope you and your family have had a wonderful summer filled with rest, fun, and time together. We are excited to welcome everyone back to campus and begin another year of learning, growth, and success for our Tiger students.

This year, our school-wide focus will be Response to Intervention (RTI) in both Mathematics and Language Arts. RTI is a proactive approach that helps us identify each student's individual learning needs and provide the right level of support and enrichment at the right time. Through targeted instruction, ongoing progress monitoring, and collaboration among our staff, we are committed to ensuring that every student can grow academically and reach their full potential.

By strengthening our instruction in math and language arts, we will continue building strong foundational skills while providing meaningful interventions and enrichment opportunities. Our teachers are excited to implement strategies that will help every Tiger become a confident learner and achieve success throughout the school year.

We are also excited to welcome two new members to our Tiger ʻohana. Please join me in welcoming Mary Todd, our new School Counselor, and Chianna Smith, our new Preschool Teacher. We are thrilled to have them join our team, and we know they will make a positive impact on our students and school community.

Our first day of school is Monday, August 3, 2026, and we can't wait to see everyone back on campus! Class lists will be posted outside the school library on the morning of August 3. Staff members will be available to assist students and families in finding classrooms and answering any questions to help make the first day a smooth and welcoming experience.

This is going to be an amazing year for our Tigers. Together, as partners in education, we will continue to create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive. Thank you for your continued support, trust, and commitment to our school.

I look forward to welcoming each of you on August 3, 2026, and sharing a fantastic school year.

Go Tigers!

Warm regards,

Maegan MacGregor
